What's necessary for an event to be added?
Anyone can suggest an addition or update on the website, with no obligations, though a backlink to mybearholiday.com would be greatly appreciated.
Basic quality requirements follow:
Publicly confirmed dates
A multi-day schedule worth traveling (no one-night parties)
Uniquely and specifically catered to the bear community (no generic LGBTQ+ parties)
A simple website or at least a public social profile with the schedule and basic visitor information
What's necessary for an event to be marked as "major"?
Think of major events as the "top 10" most popular bear festivals in the World (more or less). This does not necessarily mean better holidays, as some bear travelers prefer smaller events. Actually you can filter out major events with our web app.
"Major event" is a special distinction anyone can suggest on the add/update form, but only our team can decide, considering the following additional criteria:
At least five yearly editions
A varied programme lasting three or more days
A national or international attendance of 2,000 or mode (yes, we can also monitor this).
An updated and complete website with all relevant visitor information
Can I sponsor this service?
Yes. This obviously would be a fantastic place to showcase bear-catered brands from clothing to dating apps... and share the costs of keeping this online and updated for the community.
