Nov 4, 2024. The Pre-Hibearnation event, organized by Manbears, is set to bring a weekend of camaraderie, themed parties, and social gatherings to Manchester. This annual bear community gathering caters to local and international attendees, welcoming everyone to enjoy a series of unique, inclusive events while building connections within the LGBTQ+ community.

Programme Highlights

The itinerary includes several signature events over three days:

• Friday: The festivities begin with a "Bear Crawl" pub event, offering a chance to connect with fellow attendees over drinks in some of Manchester’s favorite bars. The evening wraps up with an opening party at Club Sub 101.

• Saturday: The main event, "Hibernation," takes place at the iconic Eagle Bar, promising an evening filled with lively music, dancing, and entertainment from top DJs. A daytime marketplace also allows attendees to browse and purchase bear-themed merchandise and collectibles.

• Sunday: The weekend concludes with a farewell brunch and a relaxed afternoon social gathering, the perfect setting for farewells and making final memories of the event.

Manchester's gay bear scene

Manbears bear programme includes two yearly events: Great British Bear Bash in Spring, and this Pre-Hibearnation in November. The dates for 2025 have already been announced too. Please find them at our webapp. However, the Manchester's local gay bear community also gather at Manbears Social, held at Eagle Bar Manchester every second Saturday of each month.
